After more than two and a half years of extensive restoration, the legendary Bristol Hotel is reopening its doors, merging its rich heritage with modern amenities under the name – The Bristol Belgrade. The Bristol Hotel, designed by the renowned architect Nikola Nestorović and built between 1910 and 1912, was not only an architectural icon of Belgrade but also the home to many prominent figures, including John and David Rockefeller, Josip Broz Tito, chess grandmaster Garry Kasparov, and writer Moma Kapor.
Thanks to the intricate restoration and the craftsmanship of 16 artists – sculptors, painters, and decorators – in collaboration with the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments and Belgrade Waterfront, the authentic elements of the original architecture of this monumental building have been preserved, while modern features have introduced a new chapter in its history.
